Monday Gratitude is a post I’d like to write every Monday to start the week off with a little positivity. For many of us, it’s the first day of a long work week. The thought of getting through the next 5 days can be daunting, so I’m hoping it will help to focus on some good things!
This week I’m grateful for the awesome running weather we’ve been having in central Minnesota. It’s been hanging out in the 20’s most days, which I find to feel refreshing. You don’t need to really bundle up to stay warm on your run, but you don’t overheat either. Perfect! I’m really feeling grateful for running in general, yesterday I was in a total bummer of a mood, with it being Sunday and all, but forcing myself to get out and run turned my attitude around, at least a little bit. It helps that we’ve got a little bit of snow, so it’s gorgeous outside.
I’m also attempting to complete the Runner’s World Run Streak. The run streak is basically just running at least a mile day every day between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day – a total of 40 days. Today is day 26 of the streak and it has been an awesome experience. I’ve tried running streaks in the past with no success, but this year it’s been going really great! I have the fur baby to thank for that, if I don’t take her for a run I have to take her for a walk anyways. Thanks puppers!
I’ve talked about it before, but I’ll say it again. Running is a great way to get in some frugal exercise. With minimal gear, you can get outside to enjoy the outdoors, clear your head, and take care of your health. Give it a try!
